Weber On The Grill Makes the iPad Sizzle

Weber has just released an iPad version of its popular On the Grill [iTunes link] app, a useful collection of recipes, rubs, sauces and grilling tips. The iPhone app was one of my surprise favorites last summer and the iPad app is just as good. In addition to having some great photos of various dishes in categories ranging from beef, poultry and seafood, the app also has a great shopping list feature so you can take your iPad with you while you stock up on supplies

Augmented Reality Ice Cream Machine Trades Smiles for Desserts

Customer experience company SapientNitro and ice cream makers Unilever are teaming up to train us all to smile for our just desserts — they’ve developed what they’re calling the world’s first smile-activated vending machine. SapientNitro is currently testing out the machine at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival (the event that dude sold his soul to Twitter to attend). Apparently, the machine uses augmented reality to draw passersby into a branded world — i.e

The Amazon Kindle 9XXXD [Parody Video]

Amazon’s Kindle DX reading device launched this month, with a bigger screen and a much higher pricetag than the Kindle 2.0 . We wrote at the time: The device itself features a larger screen with more shades of gray for better display, a bigger hard drive (3.3GB) that can hold up to 3,500 books, and auto-rotation, so that users can read content in either portrait or landscape mode… The company is doing deals with a number of universities and newspaper companies to make its device more widely available
