OpenTable Brings Restaurant Reservations to the iPad [PICS]

OpenTable has finally brought its restaurant reservation services to the iPad , taking advantage of the screen’s additional real estate to improve upon its app for the iPhone and iPod touch . The app [iTunes link] offers the same search functionality as the iPhone version, including the ability to to search by restaurant name, cuisine type, neighborhood and current location. Users can search for open tables for their party within a specified geographic and time range, pull up a restaurant’s location on a map, and peruse the menu and diner reviews before making a reservation

Hulu to Add 6 New Features, But No HTML5

Twitter Launching “Points of Interest” to Tie Tweets to Places

Earlier this year we predicted that Twitter would use geotagging to identify physical places via Twitter, and today Evan Williams announced at the Chirp conference that the company is doing just that with its new Points of Interest feature. The feature doesn’t appear to be live yet, but soon users will have the ability to click on a place name — included in geotagged tweets — to view the particular place on a map

Opera is playing a somewhat odd game with Apple . Their Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers are great mobile browsers , but the iPhone already has a great mobile browser — Safari. This fact alone wouldn’t be that big of a problem if Apple’s rules weren’t prohibiting other apps to duplicate the functionality of their own apps.


No Copy And Paste for Windows Phone 7 Devices

Talk about not learning from others’ mistakes. Apple has been bashed for months due to lack of copy and paste on its iPhone – never mind if you actually use clipboard or not (I bet most people don’t), it’s a smart phone, and not having this functionality makes the phone seem a lot less smart.
