The Foursquare-Google Maps mashup FourWhere has just added support for Gowalla and Yelp. The data from the three services is then displayed on a Google Map. While this in and of itself could be helpful and cool — especially for finding additional information or reviews about a location — Sysomos (the company that created FourWhere) has also used intelligent matching to combine similar venues

AT&T Blasts Verizon With New Commercial (and the iPhone)

AT&T may have lost the battle, but the war is not over. Of course we’re talking about all the hubbub over Verizon’s Map for That ads , which paint AT&T’s 3G network as inferior to Verizon’s. Verizon’s holiday ads stirred the pot even more, inflaming AT&T to file a lawsuit , which, as we found out earlier today, was not a successful endeavor .


It’s Official: Palm Pre is Coming on June 6

After some speculations earlier today , Sprint announced that Palm Pre, the smartphone we’re hoping to be just like iPhone, only better, will arrive in stores on June 6 this year . From the press release: “Palm Pre will be available nationwide on June 6 in Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, select Wal-Mart stores and online at Sprint.com for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.” So, there you have it; if you were saving money for a brand new iPhone (which is still a rumor at this point), now you have just a little bit more of a choice on how to spend your hard-earned dough. That beautiful Touchstone charging dock, however, will be available separately for $49.99, so count that in, too, if you really want to be the coolest kid on the block.
